JOB DETAILS:
Background
The Public Service Commission is a constitutional commission mandated to establish and abolish offices in the public service, appoint persons to hold or act in public offices, promote values and principles of public service, and ensure efficient, effective, ethical, and citizen-centred service delivery across government institutions. The latest recruitment targets several institutions including public universities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Department for Correctional Services, the National Treasury and Economic Planning, and other government agencies.
Responsibilities
The Cook will prepare meals for inmates, staff, and authorized personnel while maintaining high standards of hygiene, food safety, and nutrition. Responsibilities include preparing meals according to approved menus, maintaining cleanliness in kitchen facilities, receiving and storing food supplies, monitoring food quality, observing food safety regulations, maintaining kitchen equipment, and supporting efficient catering operations within correctional institutions.
