JFC Munene College is a leading educational institution committed to providing quality training and fostering academic excellence. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Counselling Psychology Trainer / School Counsellor.
Responsibilities or duties
As a Counselling Psychology Trainer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering engaging lectures and practical sessions in counselling psychology.
- Designing curriculum and assessment methods for counselling psychology courses.
- Mentoring and guiding students in their academic and professional development.
- Staying updated with the latest research and trends in counselling psychology.
As a School Counsellor, your duties will include:
- Providing individual and group counselling services to students.
- Assessing students' emotional, social, and academic needs.
- Developing and implementing intervention strategies to support student well-being.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment.
- Organizing workshops and awareness programs on mental health and well-being.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Master's degree in Counselling Psychology or a related field.
- Professional registration with a relevant counselling body.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience needed
Minimum of 3 years of experience in counselling psychology, with at least 1 year in an educational setting. Experience in training or lecturing is an added advantage.
