JFC Munene College is a leading educational institution committed to providing quality training and fostering academic excellence. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Counselling Psychology Trainer / School Counsellor.

Responsibilities or duties

As a Counselling Psychology Trainer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering engaging lectures and practical sessions in counselling psychology.
  • Designing curriculum and assessment methods for counselling psychology courses.
  • Mentoring and guiding students in their academic and professional development.
  • Staying updated with the latest research and trends in counselling psychology.

As a School Counsellor, your duties will include:

  • Providing individual and group counselling services to students.
  • Assessing students' emotional, social, and academic needs.
  • Developing and implementing intervention strategies to support student well-being.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Organizing workshops and awareness programs on mental health and well-being.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Master's degree in Counselling Psychology or a related field.
  • Professional registration with a relevant counselling body.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience needed

Minimum of 3 years of experience in counselling psychology, with at least 1 year in an educational setting. Experience in training or lecturing is an added advantage.
