About the Role

The KCB Group is a leading financial services group in East Africa. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. This role is crucial in protecting our organization's digital assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information systems.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts and events to detect and respond to potential threats.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
  • Investigate security incidents and provide timely reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security threats and trends.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security best practices are implemented.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Cyber Security Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies.
  • Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.

Experience Needed

Minimum of 3 years of experience in cyber security.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Nairobi. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to maintaining a secure digital environment.
