Responsibilities or duties

• Teach the principles of cyber security including cryptography, network security, threat detection, and incident response.
• Supervise students in practical exercises on penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and security auditing.
• Conduct research on emerging cyber threats, security frameworks, and digital forensics techniques.
• Train students in digital communications protocols, secure messaging, and privacy-preserving technologies.
• Develop teaching materials on compliance standards, data protection laws, and ethical hacking practices.
• Guide students in the design and implementation of security architectures for organizational systems.
• Collaborate with industry partners on cyber security awareness programs and security risk management.
• Setting, moderating, invigilating and marking examinations.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

i. Applicants should hold a PhD or a master's degree qualification in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution; and possess vast teaching or industry experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.

ii. Applicants must have served as a Lecturer or equivalent industry experience in a university or institution recognized by the Senate of JOOUST.

iii. Demonstrate potential for university teaching and/or research;

iv. At least two (2) years teaching experience in a university.

v. Master's holders registered for PhD may be considered

vi. Be registered with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.
