The successful candidates will be offered a competitive remuneration package in accordance with the existing Terms and Conditions of Service.
Responsibilities or duties
- Teach the principles of cyber security including cryptography, network security, threat detection, and incident response.
- Supervise students in practical exercises on penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and security auditing.
- Conduct research on emerging cyber threats, security frameworks, and digital forensics techniques.
- Train students in digital communications protocols, secure messaging, and privacy-preserving technologies.
- Develop teaching materials on compliance standards, data protection laws, and ethical hacking practices.
- Guide students in the design and implementation of security architectures for organizational systems.
- Collaborate with industry partners on cyber security awareness programs and security risk management.
- Setting, moderating, invigilating and marking examinations.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
i. Applicants should hold a PhD or a master's degree qualification in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution; and possess vast teaching or industry experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.
ii. Applicants must have served as a Lecturer or equivalent industry experience in a university or institution recognized by the Senate of JOOUST.
iii. Demonstrate potential for university teaching and/or research;
iv. At least two (2) years teaching experience in a university.
v. Master's holders registered for PhD may be considered
vi. Be registered with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.
Experience needed
At least two (2) years teaching experience in a university.
