Job Objective

We are seeking a forward-thinking, industry-connected, and student-centric lecturer in information communication technology. The ideal candidate has demonstrated the capability to bridge industry and academia, and their duties and responsibilities are as below:

Duties and responsibilities

• Teaching cybersecurity & digital forensics-related course units as allocated by the Chair of the Department.
• Designing, developing, planning, and delivering a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.
• Delivering high-quality lectures.
• Reviewing course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
• Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes, and the development of research activities.
• Carrying out research and writing research grant proposals.
• Seeking and participating in consultancies.
• Presenting research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
• Disseminating research outputs.
• Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
• Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.

qualification and experience

• A minimum of a relevant PhD, Master's and Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity/digital forensics or a relevant field from an accredited and recognised university.
• At least 3 years of teaching/research experience at the university level as a Lecturer/ Research Fellow.
• Has evidence of publications as a Lecturer/Research Fellow.
• Supervised at least two (2) postgraduate students to completion.
• Attracted research funds.
• Has evidence of attending and contributing to academic conferences, seminars, and workshops.
• Is up to date with industry standards.
• Is a member of a relevant professional body.
