Delivery Operations

  • Deliver packages to customers as per assigned delivery schedule and routes.
  • Ensure packages are handled with care and in line with company handling procedures.
  • Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
  • Confirm the accuracy of Delivery Notes and Invoices prior to dispatch.
  • Collect orders and documents from suppliers or customers when required.

Vehicle and Route Management

  • Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues for maintenance.
  • Ensure that vehicle licenses and insurances are up to date.
  • Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
  • Record and maintain daily delivery logs and mileage records.
  • Follow designated delivery routes and adapt in case of urgent assignments off-route.

Customer Service and Communication

  • Respond to basic customer inquiries or issues during delivery in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Communicate any delivery issues to the Inventory In-Charge promptly.
  • Provide feedback on customer concerns or observations during delivery visits.

Support Functions

  • Occasionally support the warehouse team in packaging and merchandizing when not on delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory and Stores teams to improve dispatch efficiency

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Kenyan driver’s license (Category BCE).
  • KCSE Certificate minimum.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in delivery or logistics.
  • Experience as a delivery driver in a busy environment preferably FMCG or Distribution set up is an added advantage.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of road safety regulations.
  • Basic Vehicle Maintenance Skills,
