Key Responsibilities

  • Chairside Excellence: Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and patient safety.
  • Clinical Preparation: Set up treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials; prepare dental cements and impression materials as required.
  • Infection Control: Maintain the highest standards of hygiene by cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments according to IPC guidelines.
  • Patient Engagement: Welcome patients, explain procedures to ease anxiety, and provide clear pre- and post-operative instructions.
  • Facility Management: Monitor dental equipment for faults, manage inventory levels to prevent stock-outs, and maintain meticulous sterilization logs.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with accurate patient record-keeping, billing, and appointment scheduling to ensure a seamless patient flow.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Certificate or Diploma in Dental Assisting or Dental Surgery Assisting from a recognized institution.
  • Registration: Valid registration with the relevant professional or regulatory body (where applicable).
  • Experience: Prior experience in a busy dental clinic or hospital setting is highly preferred.

Core Competencies:

  • Technical Skill: Proficient in chairside assisting and knowledgeable in dental materials and IPC protocols.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
  • Organization: Excellent ability to manage time, patient flow, and clinical inventory.
  • Professionalism: High integrity, a commitment to patient confidentiality, and a proactive team player attitude.
