Background
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is a Constitutional Commission established under Article 237 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010. The Commission is mandated to manage human resource functions for teachers in public institutions across the country. Its responsibilities include recruitment, deployment, promotion, discipline, and professional development of teachers, as well as ensuring quality standards in the teaching profession.
Through its mandate, the Commission plays a vital role in strengthening Kenya’s education system by ensuring that the teaching workforce is effectively managed and supported. The Commission works to enhance professionalism within the education sector while promoting accountability, transparency, and equitable access to quality education.
In line with its mandate to strengthen leadership, management, and professional oversight within the teaching service, the Teachers Service Commission invites applications from qualified, result-oriented, and highly motivated Kenyan citizens to fill several vacant positions across various directorates and functional areas of the Commission.
The positions advertised provide opportunities for experienced professionals to contribute to strategic human resource management, internal audit oversight, risk management, teacher professional management, and teacher discipline administration within the Commission. Successful candidates will join a dynamic public institution dedicated to advancing the quality and integrity of Kenya’s education system.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing risk management policies and frameworks
- Identifying and assessing operational, financial, and strategic risks
- Monitoring institutional risk indicators and mitigation strategies
- Coordinating risk management reviews across departments
- Supporting development of institutional risk registers
- Advising management on risk mitigation strategies
- Monitoring compliance with risk management procedures
- Preparing risk management reports and assessments

Level of Education: postgraduate degree
