About the Role
The Judicial Service Commission invites applications for the position of Deputy Director, Research and Data Analytics (JSG 2). This role is responsible for leading research initiatives, data analysis, and knowledge management to support evidence‑based decision‑making within the Judiciary.
Key Duties
- Develop and implement research and data analytics strategies for the Judiciary
- Oversee collection, analysis, and dissemination of judicial data and statistics
- Provide evidence‑based insights to inform policy, planning, and performance management
- Establish and maintain knowledge management systems
- Coordinate research collaborations with academic institutions and development partners
- Prepare and publish periodic reports, briefs, and analytical papers
- Ensure compliance with data protection and integrity standards
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Social Sciences, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Social Sciences, or related field
- Relevant professional certification and membership in a recognized professional body
- Course in Strategic Leadership Development or equivalent
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and computer applications
- Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution
Experience
- Minimum 12 years’ relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in senior management OR 6 years in middle management
Core Competencies
- Strategic leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
- Evidence‑based decision‑making skills
- Time management and prioritization
- Research and data management expertise
