About the Role
The Judicial Service Commission invites applications for the position of Deputy Director, Strategy, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (JSG 2). This role is responsible for facilitating strategic planning, monitoring, and evaluation of projects and programs to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Key Duties
- Spearhead development, review, and implementation tracking of Judiciary Strategic Plans, policies, and operational plans
- Align institutional priorities with national development frameworks
- Provide strategic advisory support for policy coherence and results-based management
- Establish and strengthen Monitoring & Evaluation systems and reporting frameworks
- Coordinate design, appraisal, implementation, and evaluation of directorate programmes/projects
- Prepare and disseminate periodic planning, monitoring, and evaluation reports
- Consolidate and monitor Judiciary project portfolios for strategic value and budget alignment
- Integrate planning and budgeting processes to optimize resources
- Lead capacity-building initiatives on strategic planning, M&E systems, and performance management
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Economics, Project Management, Business Administration, Strategic Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Social Sciences, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Project Management, Public Policy & Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Social Sciences, or related field
- Relevant professional certification and membership in a recognized professional body
- Course in Strategic Leadership Development or equivalent
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution
Experience
- Minimum 12 years’ relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in senior management OR 6 years in middle management
