Job Description
Are you passionate about engineering excellence, innovative design, and quality assurance? Our client, a leading company in the automotive manufacturing industry, is seeking a highly skilled Design and Quality Engineer to join its engineering team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is committed to developing high-quality engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for vehicle body structures and automotive components.
- Prepare engineering drawings to support fabrication and assembly processes.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry regulations, engineering standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Continuously improve existing designs to enhance safety, durability, manufacturability, and overall product quality.
- Develop, maintain, and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) for costing, production, and engineering purposes.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, technical specifications, and design records.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure proper implementation of approved designs.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand technical requirements and deliver effective engineering solutions.
- Develop and maintain quality control procedures, inspection checklists, and quality documentation.
- Conduct inspections of incoming materials, monitor production quality, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Investigate warranty-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support regulatory audits and ensure compliance with applicable engineering and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in engineering design, quality assurance, or automotive manufacturing.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD design software.
- Experience preparing engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and engineering documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
