County Government of Kisumu invites applications from suitably qualified, motivated and pro- active individuals to fill vacancies in the following position: Director Of Information Communication Technology, Job Group 'R'

Duties And Responsibilities

Providing leadership, vision and management of ICT; Preparing strategic and operational plans for the ICT directorate; Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of technology infrastructure in line with county development plans; Ensuring ICT systems comply with regulations and legal requirements; Overseeing development, design and implementation of new system and maintenance; Maintaining the integrity and continual operation of ICT network including wireless; Ensuring effective Management of the County ICT and GIS systems; Scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software; and Identifying new ICT Solutions, maintain and supporting ICT Services and ensuring security of the County's data and ICT Systems.

Requirements For This Appointment

Be a Kenyan Citizen; Cumulative service period of ten (10) relevant years' work experience, three (3) of which should have been at senior management level position; Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Information Technology; Computer Science; Business IT; Software Engineering; ICT Project Management; Computer Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution. Masters Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Information Technology; Computer Science; Business Information Technology; Software Engineering; Project Management; Business Administration; Data Science; Computer Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution; Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution; Demonstrated a high degree of professional and managerial ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Terms Of Service Permanent And Pensionable

Annual Leave: 30 working days

Medical Cover: As provided by the County Government of Kisumu

Chapter 6 requirements will only be required from successful candidates upon offer of job and not at the application stage.
