County Government of Kisumu invites applications from suitably qualified, motivated and pro- active individuals to fill vacancies in the following position:
Responsibilities or duties
- Promoting awareness on TVET needs and demands to local communities and parents;
- Preparing and submit quarterly and annual reports;
- Advise and make recommendations to the Chief Officer on all matters related to training in TVET institutions;
- Monitoring and implementing the curricular, co-curricular activities, programmes and projects;
- Preparing and implementing the departmental annual work plans and budgetary requirements;
- Implementing the TVET staff training and appraisals;
- Providing technical and administrative guidelines to the relevant stakeholders on implementing County supported programmes/projects;
- Preparing, implementing and managing strategic, operational and financial plans and projects;
- Following general management spheres: College/education institution management, strategy management, education management; and
- Conducting research to support programme/project activities in the Directorate;
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Be a Kenyan citizen;
- Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Education; Education Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; OR Bachelor of Science/Arts with a postgraduate Diploma in Education from a recognized institution;
Experience needed
- Cumulative service period of ten (10) relevant years' work experience, three (3) of which should have been at senior management level;

Terms Of Service Permanent And Pensionable
Annual Leave: 30 working days
Medical Cover: As provided by the County Government of Kisumu
Those with foreign Degrees should have them authenticated by Commission for University Education (CUE). In addition, during the interview, they will be required to submit their academic certificates authenticated by the issuing institutions.
