Background
The County Government of Machakos has announced a major recruitment drive for health sector professionals and support staff across various departments within the County Government of Machakos. The recruitment seeks to strengthen healthcare service delivery by filling positions in clinical care, nursing, laboratory services, radiology, rehabilitation, pharmacy, public health, nutrition, administration, engineering, and support services.
The vacancy is based in Machakos County and will support the county’s continued investment in quality healthcare services and improved access to medical care for residents.
Responsibilities
- Driving a motor vehicle as authorized
- Carrying out routine checks on the vehicles coiling, oil, electrical and brakes system, tyre pressure
- Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of vehicle systems
- Maintenance of work tickets for vehicle assigned
- Ensuring security and safety for vehicle on and off the roads
- Safety of the passengers and or goods therein
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.
Qualifications
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade ‘D’ plain or its equivalent qualification from recognized institution
- A valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for the class(es) of vehicle(s) the officer is required to drive
- Attended a First aid certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week at st. John’s ambulance or Kenya Institute Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or its equivalent from a recognized institution
- Passed suitability test for driver grade III
- Passed practical test for driver conducted by the respective Ministry/Department
- A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police
Experience
- At least two (2) years driving experience
