BACKGROUND

Our Lady of Mercy Mission Hospital wishes to recruit a result oriented and remarkably qualified Driver.

ROLE SUMMARY

To ensure patients receive rapid and efficient medical care by providing safe and timely transportation of patients, medical personnel, and medical supplies

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Driving the hospital ambulance to transport sick, injured, or convalescing persons;
  • Ferry medical supplies when instructed collect, deliver lab samples and reports;
  • Transport equipment and supplies by picking-up requisitioned orders;
  • Regularly inspect and maintain the vehicles to ensure safety and reliability;
  • General cleanliness of all vehicles and monitor fuel levels and oil changes
  • Ensuring that all incidents affecting the vehicles are reported in a timely manner;
  • Ensuring that the vehicles licenses are valid as per the national traffic regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and fuel usage;
  • Responsible for the safekeeping of passengers, all vehicle equipment and tools;
  • Perform other maintenance responsibilities as directed by the Management

QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCIES

  • KCSE holder with a minimum of grade D+ from a recognized Institution;
  • A valid driving licenses of category B, C 1, C, D1, D2;
  • Able to work in a 24-hour environment and maintain a positive attitude;
  • Good understanding of traffic laws applicable to driving emergency vehicles;
  • Knowledge of local roads and terrain;
  • Recommendation letter from a clergy
