- Teach the principles of economic geography including location of industries, trade, transportation, and global economic systems.
- Supervise students in economic mapping, geographic market analysis, and regional economic analysis.
- Conduct research on regional economic growth, sectoral development, and globalization impacts.
- Train students in the use of spatial data and geographic analysis for economic planning and investment decisions.
- Develop teaching materials on geospatial methods for economic decision-making and regional economic development.
- Guide students in understanding the factors influencing economic development across different regions.
- Collaborate with economic development agencies and businesses on spatial economic research and strategy.
- Setting, moderating, invigilating and marking examinations.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
i. Applicants should hold a PhD or a master's degree qualification in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution; and possess vast teaching or industry experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.
ii. Applicants must have served as a Lecturer or equivalent industry experience in a university or institution recognized by the Senate of JOOUST.
iii. Demonstrate potential for university teaching and/or research;
iv. At least two (2) years teaching experience in a university.
v. Master's holders registered for PhD may be considered
vi. Be registered with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.

At least two (2) years teaching experience in a university.
