About the Role

Our Client is recruiting a certified Electrical Technician to maintain electrical systems supporting blending, bagging, conveyor and material-handling equipment, ensuring safe, reliable and continuous plant operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot and repair electrical faults on blending machines, bagging lines, conveyors, palletizers, weighbridge systems and associated motor control panels.
  • Carry out scheduled preventive electrical maintenance testing, cleaning, tightening and replacing components to minimize unplanned downtime across the terminal.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and equipment manuals to diagnose faults accurately and carry out repairs safely.
  • Maintain and calibrate control systems, sensors, and low-voltage industrial motors and drives associated with material-handling equipment.
  • Keep accurate maintenance and incident records, including fault descriptions, parts replaced, and time to repair, for reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety procedures, Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) protocols, and Clients’ Golden Rules when working on live or de-energized systems.
  • Coordinate with mechanical technicians on combined electro-mechanical equipment faults to jointly diagnose and resolve issues and minimize downtime.
  • Support installation, testing and commissioning of new electrical equipment, panels, or system upgrades, ensuring compliance with relevant electrical codes.
  • Escalate any electrical hazard, near-miss, or non-compliant installation immediately to the HESQ Officer and take corrective action as directed.
  • Maintain an organized, safe workshop/store for electrical tools, spares and testing equipment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Installation from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in industrial, warehouse, or bagging/blending machinery electrical maintenance.
  • Sound knowledge of low-voltage industrial control systems, motors, and conveyor/hopper electrical circuits.
  • Strong fault-diagnosis skills and ability to work safely under time pressure.
  • Willingness to work rotating and high-season shifts.

Mandatory Certifications

  • Recognized electrical trade certificate/license from an accredited institution.
  • Basic occupational health & safety training (or willingness to complete Clients’ HESQ induction).
