Role Context

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor for a ultra luxury beachfront hotel in Mombasa. This role is crucial for overseeing the maintenance and operational efficiency of all hotel engineering systems and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the daily activities of the engineering department, including maintenance, repairs, and installations.
• Ensure all hotel engineering systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.) are functioning optimally and safely.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
• Manage the engineering team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee inventory of spare parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as an Engineering Supervisor or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices.
