Job Summary

This cadre is responsible for the ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, environmental or natural ecosystems conservation, adherence with all applicable environmental sustainability guidelines, feasibility/environmental impact assessment studies prior to project implementation and facilitate exploration of development and managing carbon asset portfolio, new markets mechanisms.

Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

  • Formulation and implementation of environmental management plans.
  • Participating in environmental audits, implementation of the recommendations; implementing Resettlement Action plans.
  • Maintaining a register on compliance to environmental legislation
  • Updates on new environmental conservation developments
  • Collecting scientific data and prepare reports relating to environmental conservation.
  • Preparing conservation reports for the Environmental Management Agency as and when they are required.
  • Participating in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) studies
  • Inspecting waste generation and disposal.
  • Adhering to the Corporate Occupational Health and Safety programs
  • Participating in undertaking CDM auditing and calibration of monitoring equipment to ensure quality control and quality assurance of data used in the monitoring report

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Studies, Management, Meteorology, Environmental Conservation or Natural Resource Management or equivalent.

  • Minimum Education Level : Undergraduate
