JOB DETAILS:

• Teach the principles of environmental ecology including ecosystem structure and function, biodiversity, and ecological principles.
• Supervise students in fieldwork, ecological surveys, and data collection for environmental monitoring.
• Conduct research on ecosystem dynamics, ecological restoration, and conservation biology.
• Train students in ecological sampling methods, biodiversity assessment, and statistical analysis of ecological data.
• Develop teaching materials on ecosystem services, resilience, and ecological adaptation to environmental change.
• Guide students in understanding the interaction between human activities and ecological systems.
• Collaborate with conservation organizations on research and restoration ecology projects.
• Setting, moderating, invigilating and marking examinations.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

i. Applicants should hold a PhD or a master's degree qualification in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution; and possess vast teaching or industry experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.

ii. Applicants must have served as a Lecturer or equivalent industry experience in a university or institution recognized by the Senate of JOOUST.

iii. Demonstrate potential for university teaching and/or research;

iv. At least two (2) years teaching experience in a university.

v. Master's holders registered for PhD may be considered

vi. Be registered with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.

At least two (2) years teaching experience in a university.
