Background

A leading FMCG manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of their fleet, ensuring safe, on-time, and cost-effective product delivery across the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and optimize vehicle routing, ensuring 100% on-time delivery and vehicle availability.
  • Implement a preventive maintenance program and ensure compliance with NTSA, EPRA, and safety regulations.
  • Manage fleet budget (fuel, repairs, insurance), achieve fuel efficiency targets, and negotiate with suppliers for the best rates.
  • Recruit, train, and manage drivers and turn boys while enforcing safety and driving standards.
  • Maintain fleet asset register, manage vehicle branding, and oversee workshop operations.

What We Need

  • 5+ years of experience managing a fleet of 20+ vehicles (preferably trucks >7 tons) in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in route planning, cost reduction, and driver management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, Fleet Management, or related field.
  • Knowledge of NTSA traffic rules and Kenyan transport regulations.
  • Valid Kenyan Driving License (Class BCE minimum).
