Role Context
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Front of House & Community Officer to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring a welcoming and productive environment for our members and visitors, and in fostering a strong sense of community within Impact Hub Nairobi.
Responsibilities
- Manage the reception area, ensuring it is tidy, welcoming, and well-equipped.
- Greet and assist members, visitors, and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Manage room bookings and ensure meeting spaces are prepared.
- Provide administrative support to the team as needed.
- Organize and support community events and activities.
- Maintain and update member databases and contact lists.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Contribute to creating a positive and engaging community atmosphere.
Qualifications and Experience
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in a front-of-house, administrative, or community management role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for social impact and community building is a plus.
