Role Context

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Front of House & Community Officer to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring a welcoming and productive environment for our members and visitors, and in fostering a strong sense of community within Impact Hub Nairobi.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the reception area, ensuring it is tidy, welcoming, and well-equipped.
  • Greet and assist members, visitors, and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Manage room bookings and ensure meeting spaces are prepared.
  • Provide administrative support to the team as needed.
  • Organize and support community events and activities.
  • Maintain and update member databases and contact lists.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and engaging community atmosphere.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in a front-of-house, administrative, or community management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for social impact and community building is a plus.
