Global Energy & Opportunity Coalition Fundraising Strategy

Unlock Fundraising Strategy: Design and execute a comprehensive global fundraising strategy that articulates how energy access drives economic opportunity across agriculture, health, education, and enterprise development sectors in diverse geographical contexts.

Multi-Regional Donor Engagement: In partnership with the global fundraising team, target international funding sources including bilateral donors, multilateral development banks, global foundations, corporations, high net worth individuals, and investors (Africa, India, Latin America, Southeast Asia).

Coalition Value Proposition & Storytelling: Own the development of the Energy & Opportunity Coalition’s overarching fundraising narrative and value proposition to funders. Shaping how complex, multi-country work is translated into a clear, compelling investment case. International Market Intelligence & Donor Strategy (Fundraising-Driven): Drive capital mobilisation by generating actionable market intelligence that directly strengthens the Coalition’s fundraising pipeline. This includes:

  • Analysing global funding flows across energy, agriculture, health, education, and economic development to identify high-probability donor targets, convergence opportunities, and entry points for investment.
  • Proactively track shifts in donor priorities around integrated development, climate-development, and multi-sector collaboration to position the Coalition ahead of funding cycles and shape compelling, timely pitches.
  • Monitoring comparable international platforms and initiatives to sharpen the Coalition’s differentiation, inform partnership strategy, and increase competitiveness in securing large, multi-year commitments.

Regional Coordination & Global Coherence

Regional Strategy Alignment: Coordinate with GEAPP regional teams (Africa, India, Latin America, Southeast Asia) to ensure fundraising efforts support local priorities while maintaining global coherence.

Cross-Regional Learning: Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice exchange between regions to strengthen overall Coalition effectiveness and attract funders interested in global scale.

Convening Support: Support major international convenings, conferences, and donor roundtables that position the Coalition as a global leader in energy-enabled economic development.

Education: Master's degree preferred.

Global Fundraising Expertise: 7+ years' experience in the workforce with demonstrated success raising $4M+ from diverse global funding sources including multilateral, bilateral, corporations, foundations and individual philanthropists.
