Binance is hiring a General Manager, West Africa skilled in strategic business growth, regional market expansion, country operations, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership.
Responsibilities or duties
- Develop and implement a strategic plan to drive the growth and market presence of the company in the country, aligning with global objectives and local market dynamics;
- Ensure adherence to local regulations and work closely with legal teams to comply with all standards. Coordinate the submission of necessary documentation and approval processes with regulatory bodies;
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials, regulatory agencies, and industry associations to influence policy and advocate for favorable regulatory frameworks for the industry;
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations to expand the footprint and user base within the country. Lead market entry strategies and manage cross-functional teams to achieve business goals;
- Serve as the primary point of contact for local stakeholders, including customers, partners, media, and community groups. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and public speaking engagements to enhance brand visibility;
- Oversee P&L and daily operations, ensuring the highest level of service and operational efficiency. Monitor performance metrics, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications or requirementsÂ
- Proven track record of 10+ years in a senior manager role, in a similar capacity: Demonstrated experience in navigating regulatory environments and working with government agencies and policy makers. Demonstrated ability in market expansion and business development;
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams;
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively represent the company to external stakeholders and in public forums;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends to formulate strategic plans;
- Entrepreneurship mentality. Must be a self-starter and leader that takes ownership and is able to run an innovative sustainable operation with little guidance;
