Head Chef

Job Summary

The Head Chef will lead the kitchen team and oversee the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals while ensuring excellent food standards, kitchen efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan menus and oversee daily food preparation.
• Lead, supervise, and coordinate kitchen staff.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented to consistently high standards.
• Monitor food quality, portion sizes, taste, and presentation.
• Manage kitchen stock, ingredients, and food costs.
• Ensure proper food storage, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
• Coordinate kitchen operations during busy service periods.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff.
• Minimize food wastage and maintain cost controls.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health standards.

Requirements

• More than 3 years of experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or in a senior kitchen role.
• Relevant culinary training or qualification is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen operations.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy restaurant environment.
• Passion for quality food and service excellence.
