About Neopenda

In hospitals across Sub-Saharan Africa, nurses are doing extraordinary work with limited tools. A single pulse oximeter shared across an entire ward. Manual vital sign checks between competing demands. The dedication is there, what’s missing is the infrastructure to match it. That’s where Neopenda comes in.

We built neoGuard, a wearable vital signs monitor purpose-built for the realities of healthcare in emerging markets. It continuously tracks pulse rate, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, and temperature, and gives nurses real-time visibility across an entire ward from a single dashboard. It works through power outages. It requires no consumables. And it was co designed with the healthcare workers who use it every day.

We are CE Mark certified, ISO 13485 compliant, and our technology is actively monitoring patients across 50+ hospitals in Kenya and beyond, with over 150,000 hours of continuous monitoring delivered to date. We’ve been recognized by organizations like WHO, Grand Challenges Canada, and MIT Solve.

Neopenda is a small team with outsized ambition. We operate across the U.S., Kenya, and Nigeria. We are scaling commercially, expanding into new markets, and hiring across multiple roles.

Role Description

At Neopenda, we are building technologies that strengthen health systems in emerging markets, starting with neonatal care. As we scale across Kenya and into new markets, we are seeking a Head of Growth to lead our commercial strategy and drive sustainable, repeatable revenue growth.

This is a highly cross-functional role at the intersection of sales, customer success, product, and marketing. The Head of Growth will own revenue performance end-to-end, from pipeline development and deal conversion to post-sale utilization and expansion. You will be responsible for translating market insights and voice of customer into actionable growth strategies, while ensuring strong alignment across teams.

We are looking for a hands-on, execution-oriented leader who has experience scaling a startup in Africa, and who can bring structure to growth while operating in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue & Pipeline: Own revenue targets and oversee pipeline performance by managing and enabling the Sales team; ensure strong deal prioritization, forecasting, and conversion
  • Utilization & Customer Success: Own utilization outcomes by managing the Customer Success team; ensure strong onboarding, adoption, and retention across facilities
  • Voice of Customer (VOC): Lead collection and synthesis of customer insights across Sales and Customer Success; translate into actionable recommendations
  • Go-to-Market & Expansion: Define and drive GTM and expansion strategy across segments, geographies, and channels
  • Marketing & Positioning: Own core messaging and ensure consistency across sales materials, partnerships, and campaigns
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop Sales and Customer Success teams; set targets, track performance, and build a high-performing culture
  • Product Input: Define user requirements and partner with Product/Engineering to align roadmap with customer and growth needs

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in growth, sales, or commercial roles, including experience scaling a startup
  • Experience working in African markets; healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience managing and growing a small team (e.g., Sales, Customer Success)
  • Strong track record of owning revenue targets and driving growth

Tools & Technical Skills

  • Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decisions
  • Experience with CRM systems and tools such as Airtable
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills

Mindset

  • Hands-on leader who is both strategic and willing to roll up their sleeves when needed.
  • Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced team with evolving priorities.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Mission-driven and motivated to improve healthcare delivery in emerging markets

Why Join Neopenda?

This is a company where the work you do reaches the bedside. Every shipment coordinated, every record maintained, every system improved plays a direct role in getting life-saving technology into hospitals, and to the patients who need it most.

You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team where your contributions are visible and valued from day one. You’ll gain broad exposure across operations, quality, finance, sales, and marketing, real breadth that’s hard to find anywhere else at this stage. And you’ll be joining a company in motion: we’re actively hiring across multiple roles, and there is real opportunity to grow as we scale.

We’ve been recognized by Grand Challenges Canada, Georgia Tech’s 40 Under 40, the WHO Compendium of Innovative Health Technologies, and MIT Solve. But what drives us isn’t the recognition, it’s the nurses, the families, and the patients counting on what we build. If that resonates with you, we’d love to meet you.
