Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of a leading agricultural and agribusiness provider, is seeking an experienced Head of Harvesting – Fine Beans to take ownership of harvesting operations and lead field teams toward consistent quality and productivity.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Planning and managing the end-to-end harvesting cycle
- Ensuring compliance with export-quality requirements
- Developing production schedules aligned with crop maturity and market demand
- Driving labour and field productivity
- Training and managing harvesting teams
- Monitoring yields, volumes and operational performance
- Coordinating effectively with farm management, agronomy and packhouse teams
Qualifications and Experience
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Crop Science or a related discipline
- 5–7 years of progressive horticultural agronomy experience
- Specialized experience in fine beans, snap beans or high-value export vegetables
- Knowledge of GlobalGAP, KEPHIS and PCPB requirements
- Strong field leadership and workforce management capabilities
- Ability to effectively use productivity and data-tracking tools
