Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Partnerships to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing our partnership strategy, identifying and nurturing new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will play a crucial role in driving our growth and expanding our reach across Kenya.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive partnership strategy to drive business growth and market penetration.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new strategic partners, including employers, community organizations, and other relevant entities.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key partners, ensuring their success and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product, operations) to ensure seamless partner integration and support.
  • Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor and analyze partnership performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Stay abreast of market trends and competitive landscape to identify new partnership opportunities.
  • Represent Turaco at industry events and conferences to build brand awareness and foster relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven track record of success in partnership management, business development, or sales, preferably within the insurance or health tech sector.
  • Strong understanding of the Kenyan market and its business landscape.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant business tools.
  • Passion for Turaco's mission and a commitment to making a social impact.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in partnership management, business development, or a related role.
