Job Summary

Bunyore Girls Senior School is seeking qualified, dedicated, and passionate teachers to join its teaching team on BOM terms. Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering effective, competency-based instruction, supporting learners' academic and personal development, and contributing to the overall success of the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in the assigned subject combinations.
  • Prepare teaching materials, assessments, assignments, and examinations.
  • Assess learners' progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and student discipline.
  • Support learners requiring additional academic assistance.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment, and academic progress.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities, school meetings, examinations, and other programmes.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to learners.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and school management to improve academic performance.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, disciplined, and supportive learning environment.
  • Implement the Competency-Based Education (CBE) approach and other relevant curriculum requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Relevant Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Education with the appropriate subject combination.
  • TSC registration and a valid teaching licence/certificate will be an advantage/requirement as applicable.
  • Sound knowledge of the Kenyan curriculum and current teaching methodologies.
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good assessment and lesson-planning abilities.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to learners.
  • Previous teaching experience is an added advantage.
