Looking for a teaching job in Kenya? Oshwal Academy is hiring a hospitality teacher to support learners with varying educational needs. Experience in teaching the British curriculum as well as registration with TSC is required.

Successful candidates will work closely with school leadership, colleagues, parents, and learners to create a safe, engaging, and high-performing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Successful teachers will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the British Curriculum.
  • Preparing schemes of work and lesson plans.
  • Creating learner-centred classroom environments.
  • Assessing student progress through continuous evaluation.
  • Preparing examinations, assignments, and assessments.
  • Maintaining accurate academic records.
  • Supporting learners with varying educational needs.
  • Integrating technology into classroom instruction where appropriate.
  • Encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and independent learning.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Identifying learners requiring additional academic support.
  • Participating in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
  • Attending departmental and staff meetings.
  • Collaborating with fellow teachers to improve instructional practices.
  • Communicating learner progress to parents and guardians.
  • Participating in curriculum development initiatives.
  • Supporting school events and educational programmes.
  • Maintaining professional ethics and safeguarding standards.
  • Ensuring classrooms provide safe and inclusive learning environments.
  • Promoting high standards of student achievement.
  • Supporting holistic learner development beyond academics.

Qualifications

  • Be graduates in the relevant subject or specialization (B.Ed.).
  • Have at least four years of teaching experience in the subject area.
  • Be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
  • Experience teaching the British National Curriculum will be an added advantage.
