Human Resources / HR , Internships
On behalf of our client, a leading poultry production company, we are seeking to recruit a highly proactive, energetic, and detail-oriented Human Resource Intern based in Thika. The successful candidate will support day-to-day HR operations while gaining practical experience in recruitment, employee records management, onboarding, and general HR administration.
Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing, screening, and scheduling candidates for interviews.
- Support employee onboarding and induction processes.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
- Assist in attendance tracking and leave management.
- Prepare HR documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Support payroll data collection and verification processes.
- Coordinate staff training and development activities.
- Ensure proper filing and organization of employee documentation.
- Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Handle employee inquiries and provide administrative support to the HR department.
- Support employee engagement and welfare initiatives.
- Perform any other HR-related duties assigned by management.
Skills & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Recent graduate or currently awaiting graduation.
- Knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and HR practices will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Must be highly proactive, self-driven, and eager to learn.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Must be based in or willing to work in Thika.
