About the Role:
Artcaffe is seeking a hands on Human Resources Officer to support our operational HR functions across multiple locations. In this role, you will be the backbone of our HR operations, ensuring seamless execution of employee relations, compliance, payroll coordination, and performance management. You will work closely with management and staff to maintain a motivated, compliant, and high-performing workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations & Case Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee queries, grievances, disciplinary hearings, and conflict resolution, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
- Compliance & HR Operations: Maintain accurate employee records, oversee contract administration, and ensure full compliance with Kenyan labor laws and statutory requirements across all branches.
- Payroll & Benefits Coordination: Manage payroll inputs, statutory deductions, leave administration, and employee benefits to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Performance Management Support: Partner with department heads to drive the performance review cycle, providing guidance on performance improvement plans and coaching conversations.
- Policy Implementation: Support the rollout and enforcement of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with operational needs and legal standards.
- Culture & Employee Engagement: Champion Artcaffe’s culture by coordinating staff engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and recognition efforts to boost morale and retention.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with CHRP as an added advantage
- Should be a member of IHRM
- 3+ years of HR operations experience, preferably within the hospitality, retail, or FMCG industries.
- Strong working knowledge of Kenyan labor laws, statutory compliance, and disciplinary processes.
- Proven experience with payroll coordination and HRIS systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- A detail-oriented, organized, and resilient individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced, multi-branch environment.
