Responsibilities

  • Partner with Heads of Department and Line Managers to understand operational priorities and translate them into people strategies.
  • Provide HR advisory support on workforce planning, organization design, structural changes, and business decision-making.
  • Manage talent acquisition, onboarding, contracts management, performance management, talent mapping, and staff exit processes.
  • Manage employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievances, industrial relations, union engagements, and labour office matters.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and forums, recognition programmes, wellness campaigns, and improvement actions from engagement survey data.
  • Utilize HR dashboards and people data to monitor KPIs, diagnose workforce issues, and support business performance improvement.
  • Support change management, communication, continuous improvement projects, and integration of HR functional solutions across the business.
  • Build strong working relationships with BU Heads, HODs, Line Managers, Supervisors, and shop-floor employees.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • CHRP-K qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Active membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) in good standing.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ general work experience, with at least 3 years’ specific HRBP-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRMIS / SAGE People or an equivalent ERP/HR system.
  • Good communication skills in English and Kiswahili.

  • Proven change management and conflict resolution capability.
  • Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws, including the Labour Relations Act, Employment Act, and WIBA.
