Scope of Internship

As an HR Management Intern, you will be immersed in the full scope of HR functions to develop a well-rounded understanding of Human Resources in an international NGO setting. You will rotate through key focus areas, including recruitment, HR operations, employee engagement, talent management, and most notably, HR analytics and reporting.

In this role, you will not only provide administrative support but will also be involved in shaping data-driven HR strategies and contributing to HR innovation projects. This internship is ideal for a recent graduate with a passion for HR, a flair for data and storytelling, and aspirations to become an HR leader. Your main areas of involvement throughout the internship will be:

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field (must have graduated within the last two years).
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in strategic Human Resource Management.
  • Prior internship or work experience in an HR setting is highly preferred.
  • Additional training or certification in HR analytics, Power BI, Excel for HR, or data storytelling will be a strong advantage.

  • Communication & Collaboration – Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work cross-functionally and build relationships at all levels.
  • Organizational Agility – Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
  • Professionalism & Confidentiality – High ethical standards, strong attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Analytical Thinking & Data Fluency – Strong skills in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting HR data; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Tech-Savvy & Presentation Skills – Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ability to prepare polished dashboards and executive-level presentations.
  • Initiative & Curiosity – Proactive attitude with a desire to learn and contribute beyond assigned tasks; eager to explore innovative HR solutions.
  • Digital Tools & AI Familiarity – Comfort with digital HR tools, AI for workplace productivity, and HRIS platforms.

  • Participate in end-to-end recruitment: drafting JDs, posting job, shortlisting candidates, coordinating interviews, and managing candidate experience.
  • Benchmark recruitment metrics and support hiring process optimization projects.
  • Assist with contract drafting, onboarding coordination, HRIS updates, and compliance documentation.
  • Support audits and documentation reviews to ensure HR data integrity and adherence to internal policies.
  • Assist in planning and evaluating employee engagement initiatives, onboarding programs, and team events.
  • Coordinate wellness activities and internal communications around HR programs.
  • Assist in collecting and analysing data for performance reviews and talent mapping.
  • Support the coordination and tracking of performance management cycles.
  • Contribute to training needs assessments and the design of learning opportunities.
  • Prepare executive summaries and HR presentations for internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to special HR projects, including employer branding, diversity and inclusion, and HR tech tools evaluation.
  • Gather, clean, and analyze HR data related to headcount, recruitment metrics, attrition, DEI, and performance.
  • Develop monthly and quarterly dashboards and visual presentations for senior HR leaders.
  • Contribute to the refinement of HR metrics and KPIs to guide data-informed decision-making.
