A hospitality facility in Nairobi is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead its human capital strategy. The HR Manager will play a key role in driving business success by fostering a workplace culture that promotes employee growth, engagement, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and a policy framework that aligns with business and market dynamics.
  • Develop and implement talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Design and drive impactful staff development and capacity-building initiatives to enhance skills and performance.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, SOPs, and job descriptions.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor performance management frameworks to enhance employee productivity and organisational effectiveness.
  • Oversee payroll and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with labour laws to support an efficient and engaged workforce.
  • Provide technical leadership in the negotiation and implementation of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) and other union-related matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; IHRM practising licence required.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ HR management experience in a unionized environment
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, CBAs, and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to handle confidential matters with discretion.
