Background

The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is an operational arm of the United Nations, supporting the United Nations and its partners to deliver peace and humanitarian projects on behalf of governments and donors. Responsibilities

The ICT Senior Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on ICT infrastructure, systems, and services.
  • Design, implement, and manage complex ICT solutions to meet organizational needs.
  • Oversee the maintenance, security, and performance of ICT systems, including servers, networks, and databases.
  • Develop and enforce ICT policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Manage ICT projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Provide technical support and training to ICT staff and end-users.
  • Evaluate and recommend new ICT technologies and solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their ICT requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with UNOPS ICT policies and relevant regulations.

Qualifications

  • Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in ICT analysis, system administration, network management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex ICT infrastructure and solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, database management, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another UN official language is an asset.

Experience Needed

A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required.
