The Inspector I (Electrical) is responsible for inspecting electrical installations and equipment to ensure compliance with standards and safety regulations.
- Inspections: Conduct inspections of electrical installations, equipment, and systems to ensure compliance with national electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Testing & Commissioning: Witness and verify testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure proper installation and functioning.
- Defect Identification: Identify and report defects, non-compliance, or safety hazards in electrical installations.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and compliance certificates.
- Permit Review: Review electrical permits, plans, and specifications for compliance.
- Technical Advice: Provide technical advice to engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders on electrical safety and standards.
- Safety Enforcement: Enforce safety regulations and issue compliance notices as necessary.
- Supervision: Supervise junior inspectors and technicians as assigned.
