Intern - Partnerships, Nairobi
The intern will support the Partnerships Unit in advancing its 2026 priorities related to partnership coordination, donor and partner engagement support, information management, and knowledge management. They will contribute to strengthening partnership processes through donor and partner research, improved organization and accessibility of partnership‑related information, and support to coordination activities.
In addition, they will support Office Information Management (OIM) efforts by assisting the OIM Officer with maintaining and enhancing the Country Office knowledge management platform, ensuring that partnership, donor, and coordination information is systematically captured and accessible for internal use.
Key Responsibilities
Partnerships Support
Support mapping and documentation of partners, including maintaining and updating partnership‑related information and tracking tools.
Assist in the preparation of partnership briefs, background notes, presentations, and other coordination materials for internal and external use.
Support consolidation and quality control of partnership inputs from technical units and field offices.
Assist with partnership coordination activities, including meeting preparation, note‑taking, and follow‑up on agreed action points, as required.
Donor and Partner Research
Conduct desk‑based research on donors and partners, including priorities, thematic focus areas, geographic interests, and partnership modalities, using publicly available and internal reference materials.
Support the preparation of donor and partner profiles, background briefs, and snapshot summaries to inform engagement and coordination efforts.
Assist in synthesizing relevant partnership and donor intelligence for internal reference.
OIM and Knowledge Management Support
Support the OIM Officer in organizing, updating, and maintaining partnership and donor‑related content on the Country Office knowledge management platform.
Assist in structuring, tagging, and archiving partnership, donor, and coordination documents to improve accessibility and usability.
Contribute to documentation of good practices, lessons learned, and reference materials related to partnerships and coordination.
Support basic data organization, cleaning, and compilation tasks related to partnership and donor information, as guided by the OIM Officer.
Expected Outcomes:
Updated and well‑organized partnership mapping and reference materials.
Draft partnership briefs, donor and partner profiles, and background notes supporting informed engagement.
Partnership, donor, and coordination documents systematically organized and accessible on the Country Office knowledge management platform.
Consolidated knowledge products, including documented good practices and lessons learned, contributing to improved institutional memory and continuity.
Qualifications Required:
Education: A recent graduate (within the last 6 months) with a Bachelors in International Relations, Development Studies, Political Science, Information Management, Data Management, or a related field.
Language: Fluency in Oral and written English.
Computer literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Duration of Internship: 8 months
