Westlands Specialists Hospital is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee our state-of-the-art laboratory services.

Responsibilities

The Laboratory Manager will be responsible for:

• Managing day-to-day laboratory operations, including staff supervision, workflow optimization, and quality control.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and accreditation standards.
• Developing and implementing laboratory policies and procedures.
• Managing laboratory budgets, including procurement of equipment and supplies.
• Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
• A Master's degree or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Current registration with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
• Proven experience in laboratory management and supervision.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and quality assurance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
