Westlands Specialists Hospital is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee our state-of-the-art laboratory services.
Responsibilities
The Laboratory Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing day-to-day laboratory operations, including staff supervision, workflow optimization, and quality control.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and accreditation standards.
- Developing and implementing laboratory policies and procedures.
- Managing laboratory budgets, including procurement of equipment and supplies.
- Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- A Master's degree or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Current registration with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
- Proven experience in laboratory management and supervision.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and quality assurance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
