Equity Afia is hiring a Laboratory Technologist – Uthiru skilled in clinical lab diagnostics, sample analysis, and laboratory quality control.
Responsibilities or duties
Is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a clinical laboratory, ensuring high standards of accuracy, safety, and efficiency in laboratory testing and procedures. This role involves supervising and training laboratory staff, managing laboratory workflows, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards, and maintaining the quality of test results.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Degree in Laboratory Sciences or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
- Registered and with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board
- Trained and must demonstrate understanding of Laboratory Quality Management Systems (QMS) initiatives.
- Proficiency in computer skills (especially Health Management Information Systems).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Experience needed
At least three (3) years of working experience
Desirable Competencies
- Ability to lead a medical team, manage staff, and oversee clinical operations.
- Project management and report writing skills.
- Training or certification in hospital administration, public health, or emergency care.
- Ability to handle budgeting and resource management
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
