PeopleLink Consultants Ltd is a leading human resource consultancy firm committed to providing exceptional services with a difference. We are seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Legal Officer to join our client's team.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, tenancy agreements, supplier contracts, and legal documentation.
  • Handle tenant management, lease enforcement, breach notices, and demand letter preparations.
  • Drive debt recovery strategies, manage persistent default cases, and oversee enforcement proceedings.
  • Coordinate external advocates, auctioneers, process servers, and court litigation matters.
  • Track and monitor all ongoing court cases, arbitrations, and legal disputes involving the company.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, proper licensing, and statutory risk management across operations.
  • Advise management on legal risks, property law, and commercial dispute resolution strategies.

Qualifications

  • Admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid practicing certificate.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience.
  • Direct experience working with commercial landlords, property management firms, or heavy commercial debtor portfolios.
  • Strong background in commercial tenant management, lease enforcement, and debt collection.
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract drafting, demand letter preparation, and litigation management.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and case-tracking skills.
