Browns Plantations tea estates in Kenya are a leading producer and exporter of premium Kenyan tea, committed to sustainable farming practices, upholding human rights, environmental stewardship, and community empowerment.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications and monitor patient health outcomes and progress to maximize treatment outcomes.
  • Provide accurate drug information on the use of medication and their side effects in response to patient enquiries as well as user departments.
  • Receive and accurately process prescriptions to both inpatients and outpatients.
  • Prepare, constitute and label extemporaneous preparations as required
  • Maintain pharmacy operational requirements-records of controlled drugs as well as proper inventory control
  • Participate in stock takes and inventory management exercises
  • Participate in ward rounds and patient education activities
  • Counsel patients on medication use and adherence
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognised institution.
  • Must be enrolled/registered as a pharmaceutical technologist by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
  • Valid practicing licence from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board
  • Proficiency in Ms Office tools (Word, excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
