About the Role

ZEP-RE is seeking a high-calibre Manager, Insights and Due Diligence to deliver rigorous global economic research and independently lead investment due diligence across both traditional and alternative asset classes. The role plays a critical part in shaping investment strategy by providing robust, data-driven insights that inform transaction decisions and support senior leadership and Investment Committees with clear, evidence-based recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Global Economic & Market Research

  • Conduct in-depth global macroeconomic and market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities aligned to the organization’s investment strategy.
  • Develop flagship market outlooks, thematic research, and thought leadership reports with clear implications for asset allocation and strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor global economic, financial market, and geopolitical developments and assess their impact on portfolio performance.

Investment Due Diligence

  • Independently lead end-to-end transaction due diligence for investment opportunities across public markets, private markets, and alternative asset classes.
  • Evaluate financial models, business plans, valuation assumptions, and key risk metrics for proposed investments.
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders (ESG, Risk, Finance, Legal, Operations) and external advisors to ensure transactions meet internal governance and investment standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive investment papers and present recommendations to Investment Committees and senior stakeholders for approval.
  • Apply professional judgment and constructive challenge to sponsors, management teams, and advisors throughout the transaction process.

Data & Analytical Insights

  • Design and maintain analytical frameworks, dashboards, and tools to enhance insight generation and decision support.
  • Analyze complex financial and economic datasets and translate findings into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
  • Continuously improve analytical approaches to strengthen investment evaluation and monitoring.
