Job Description: Marketing Head / Chief Marketing Officer
Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of its client in the manufacturing industry, is recruiting a Marketing Head to support commercial performance and revenue optimization within the region.
The Marketing Head will develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that drive brand growth, market penetration, and revenue generation. The ideal candidate will lead the company’s marketing department, oversee all marketing initiatives, and align marketing objectives with overall business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual marketing plans and budgets
- Create brand positioning strategies and market segmentation approaches
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research
- Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team (typically 5-15 people)
- Establish performance metrics and KPIs for the department
- Oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, traditional, events)
- Manage relationships with advertising agencies and marketing partners
- Manage marketing budget allocation and expenditure tracking
- Analyze market trends and customer insights to inform strategy
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- MBA or advanced marketing degree preferred
- 3-12 years of progressive marketing experience
- Proven track record in developing successful marketing strategies
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency with marketing analytics tools and CRM systems
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
