Nature for Health Kenya Project Intern
Responsibilities or duties
- Assist the Nature for Health (N4H) Team in organizing meetings and workshops, including preparing documents and managing logistics.
- Support development of communications materials (print, online, social media).
- Draft technical documents and reports.
- Communicate with partners, consultants, and implementers on programmatic activities.
- Undertake targeted desktop research to compile background information, facts, and data.
- Track key policy developments relevant to the project.
- Support other tasks as required, aligned with intern’s interests and experience.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Enrolled in or completed a graduate program (Master’s or equivalent), or final year of a Bachelor’s program.
- Background in health sciences, One Health, environmental management, biodiversity conservation, development studies, or social sciences.
- Computer literacy in standard software applications.
- Demonstrated interest in the work of the United Nations and commitment to the UN Charter.
- Ability to interact successfully with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs.
Experience needed
- Experience in sustainable development desirable.
- Experience in organizing events, conferences, or meetings desirable.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills required.

- Internships are not financially remunerated by the United Nations.
- Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
- Interns may be required to obtain appropriate visa and work authorization.
- The UN does not charge fees at any stage of the recruitment process.
