About the Role
Reporting to the ICT Infrastructure Manager the role will be responsible for ensuring CIC Network (LAN & WAN) connectivity to all our Branches and Regional Offices and protecting the computer systems, networks, and data against security breaches, unauthorized access, and cyber threats
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage network security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection System/Intrusion Prevention System), and other security appliances
- Administration, management and maintenance of computer network systems, data circuits, application servers, routers, LAN, WAN and phone systems.
- Responsible for the configuration and installation of network appliances and network software packages.
- Core Network and Support via installation and configuration of networking hardware and software components
- Maintain documentation related to network security configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities, analyze logs, and investigate security incidents to identify and respond to potential threats.
- Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and potential security threats including the timely deployment of security patches and updates for network devices, operating systems, and software applications.
- Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices, policies, and procedures.
Who We’re Looking For
Essential Knowledge/Skills and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or in a related field
- Certifications in CCNA
- ITIL, and/or, CISA is desirable
- Minimum of 5 years in network and security administration
- Design, implement, and manage network security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection System/Intrusion Prevention System), and other security appliances
