Job Summary

The Operations and Member Experience Lead is responsible for coordinating member services and operational excellence across the Society. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the role oversees member engagement, Continuing Professional Development (CPD), branch coordination, communications, events, digital engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate implementation of operational plans and systems that promote efficiency and service excellence.
  • Coordinate membership growth, engagement, retention, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Coordinate member engagement and satisfaction programmes across the member lifecycle.
  • Coordinate planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes.
  • Coordinate engagement and communication with PSK branches.
  • Coordinate planning and execution of meetings, webinars, workshops, conferences, and official events.
  • Coordinate implementation of the Society's communication and digital engagement strategy.
  • Coordinate initiatives that enhance the Society's visibility, public image, and institutional brand.
  • Coordinate production and growth of podcasts and other multimedia platforms.
  • Coordinate systems for collecting, analysing, and reporting member feedback and operational performance.
  • Monitor operational performance indicators and prepare management reports.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support staff within the Operations and Member Experience function.
  • Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and member-centred service delivery.
  • Coordinate implementation of communication, branding, and member experience standards across the Society.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Consumer Behaviour, or another relevant field.
  • A postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in operations, communications, member engagement, organizational development, or related fields.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and projects.
  • Experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, event management, or member services.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, monitoring, and operational reporting.
  • Strong understanding of digital communication platforms and social media management.

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience working within healthcare organizations, professional associations, membership organizations, NGOs, or regulatory bodies.
  • Experience developing and implementing membership growth and engagement strategies.
  • Experience coordinating conferences, scientific meetings, CPD activities, or professional events.
  • Experience managing podcasts, multimedia content, or social media campaigns.
  • Experience implementing operational improvement initiatives and performance monitoring systems.
  • Familiarity with Kenya's healthcare sector and professional associations.
  • Commitment to service excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Reporting Relationship

  • Reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

Contract Duration

  • Three (3) years, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and organizational needs.
