Our client, a leading player in the poultry processing industry, has retained our services to recruit a highly competent and experienced Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end processing plant operations. This role requires a dynamic leader with deep experience in high-volume poultry or meat processing, strong operational oversight capabilities, and the ability to manage a fast-paced, predominantly night-shift production environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Logistics & Supply Chain Management • Plan, coordinate, and supervise the humane pickup and timely transport of live birds. • Forecast supply needs and align production capacity with sales demand. • Manage fleet operations, including scheduling, maintenance, and compliance. 2. Production Planning & Plant Management • Develop and execute nightly production schedules to meet morning dispatch timelines. • Oversee all processing line activities—slaughter, evisceration, chilling, cutting, and packing. • Drive efficiency improvements through data-driven analysis and reduction of waste and downtime. 3. Inventory & Cold Chain Management • Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems for raw materials and finished goods. • Ensure strict adherence to cold chain protocols to guarantee product freshness and food safety.

Quality Assurance, Safety & Compliance • Enforce HACCP, SSOPs, and all regulatory food safety standards. • Promote a proactive worker safety culture across operations. • Lead plant readiness for regulatory inspections and third-party audits. 5. Distribution & Dispatch Oversight • Supervise staging and dispatch of finished products across multiple sales channels.
Strong leadership ability with hands-on team management experience. • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Effective communication and stakeholder coordination capabilities. • Financial acumen with ability to manage budgets and track KPIs.
Minimum 5 years’ progressive management experience in poultry or meat processing. • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Supply Chain, Food Science, or related field (or proven equivalent experience). • Strong technical expertise in poultry processing, cold chain management, and food safety standards (HACCP/FSMA). • Flexibility to work night and early-morning hours.
