JOB DETAILS:
Background
The County Government of Machakos has announced a major recruitment drive for health sector professionals and support staff across various departments within the County Government of Machakos. The recruitment seeks to strengthen healthcare service delivery by filling positions in clinical care, nursing, laboratory services, radiology, rehabilitation, pharmacy, public health, nutrition, administration, engineering, and support services.
The vacancy is based in Machakos County and will support the county’s continued investment in quality healthcare services and improved access to medical care for residents.
Responsibilities
- Manipulating and reducing fractures and dislocations.
- Fixing and removing casts, bandages and traction to and from patient/clients.
- Correcting Congenital Talipes Equino - Varus (C.T.E.V).
- Counselling patient on issues regarding orthopaedic trauma.
- Cleaning and treating simple wounds resulting from orthopaedic trauma.
- Documenting orthopaedic and trauma case.
- Assessing and referring patient with musculoskeletal condition.
Qualifications
- Diploma in orthopaedic plaster technologist.
- Registration certificate issued by Kenya Health Professionals Oversight Authority
- Valid practicing license
- Certificate in computer application skills.
