A private school located in Kariobangi South is urgently seeking a qualified, patient, and enthusiastic P1 Teacher to manage a Grade 1 class. The ideal candidate will be skilled in early childhood development pedagogy, lesson planning, and delivering interactive lessons aligned with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

Responsibilities or duties

  • Classroom Instruction: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons to Grade 1 learners.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Strictly implement CBC guidelines, managing learner assessments and recording individual progress.
  • Child Welfare: Maintain classroom order, foster a safe learning environment, and monitor the safety and emotional growth of students.
  • Parental Engagement: Communicate learner performance metrics, behavior trends, and project requirements clearly to parents and school administration.

Qualifications or requirements

  • Education: P1 Teacher Certificate or a Diploma in Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) / Primary Teacher Education.
  • Registration: Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) of Kenya.
  • Competencies: Thorough understanding of CBC assessment methods, strong classroom discipline, and clear, empathetic communication skills.
